The Yamaha G1 enjoys a solid reputation as a reliable, well-built baby grand piano. Although its compact size means shorter bass strings compared to larger grands or even tall uprights, the G1 is praised for its warm, vibrant tone, superior craftsmanship, and characteristic Yamaha brightness and clarity. At just 9 years old, this piano is broken in but has literally decades of life ahead of it. Its action is smooth and has a medium weight. The tone is on the bright side of medium, with a beautiful clarity. It plays easily and expressively.  The rubbed satin ebony finish is in very good condition.  This piano would be great for any piano student or serious pianist, as well as schools, church choir rooms, or other institutional settings.
