Ryan Dubois
Field technician apprentice
Ryan Dubois comes from a background in music education and recording engineering. He began an apprenticeship at Little Valley Piano Service, LLC in 2021 and joined the field technician team in 2022. Ryan brings a passion for the detailed work of building and refining a beautiful tuning.
About our apprentice program
Our apprentices undergo hundreds of hours of training before they are allowed to service clients’ pianos. We stand behind our apprentices to deliver:
- A quality tuning, although perhaps not quite concert-ready.
- Access to any product or service we offer.
Differences you might notice between an apprentice-level and a senior technician include:
- An apprentice level technician will need around 3-4 hours of tuning time, depending on how out-of-tune your piano is now.
- When repairs or maintenance beyond tuning are needed, our apprentice will document the problem(s) and provide an estimate in coordination with a senior technician. If necessary, the senior technician will complete the work.
